Fertőújlak is a Hungarian village that belongs to the Sarród municipality in Sopron County in Győr-Moson-Sopron County .

Geographical location

Fertőújlak is about seven kilometers north of Sarród on the southeastern edge of Lake Neusiedl, right on the border with Austria , which surrounds the place in the west, north and east. The Austrian Pamhagen is four kilometers to the east .

The place has been called Fertőújlak since 1976, before it was called Mekszikópuszta .
