Marius Stan

Marius Stan (* 1961 in Romania ) is a Romanian-American scientist who became known as an unskilled actor who played a role in the American television series Breaking Bad .

Life

After completing his academic training in Romania with an M.Sc. in physics and a Ph.D. in chemistry , he migrated to New Mexico in 1997 to work as a post-doctoral student at Los Alamos National Laboratory . In 2010 he moved with his family to Chicago , where he conducts research in materials science and engineering at the Argonne National Laboratory .

Marius Stan and his wife Liliana have an older son and daughter.

Acting

He got the role in Breaking Bad by chance because in 2007 he accompanied his children to a casting as extras on this series. According to his own information, it was apparently mainly his pronounced eyebrows with which he caught the attention of those responsible for casting, whereupon, to his own surprise, he was given the role of the series protagonist's employer, as he appeared in 5 episodes.
