Marjolijne C. Janssen

Marjolijne C. Janssen is a Dutch neo-Greekist .

Janssen studied Neo-Greek and Byzantine Studies at the University of Amsterdam . She is now working as a research associate at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University under the direction of David Holton and Geoffrey Horrocks on the project of the world's first grammar of the vernacular Greek of the Middle Ages. She was also deputy chairwoman of the board of directors of the European Society for Neo-Greek Studies. She has also been a lecturer at the 2014 Lincoln College Summer School in Greek Palaeography at Oxford University .

Janssen is married to Marc Diederik Lauxtermann .
