Career in motorsport

Marjorie Eccles was the wife of Roy Eccles and belonged to a group of young women in the 1930s who drove vehicles not only in normal traffic but also on racetracks. Mrs. Eccles competed in club races in the UK; it was in 1937 when 24-hour race at Le Mans at the start. As a partner of Freddie de Clifford , she drove a Singer 9 Le Mans Replica . After an ignition damage to the car, the duo had to give up the race.
