The Singer 9 Le Mans is a roadster that the British car manufacturer Singer produced from 1935 to 1936 as the successor to the 9 Sport .

The design corresponded to that of the previous model. In order to honor his successes at the 24-hour race at Le Mans in 1933 , the “Sports” was renamed “Le Mans”.

The well-known four-cylinder in - line engine with 972 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 60 mm × 86 mm) with overhead camshaft and two SU carburettors now made 3 bhp more, i.e. 38 bhp (28 kW) at 5000 rpm. The sports car reached a top speed of 116.9 km / h.

It was accompanied by another, larger Le Mans model, the 1½ liter Le Mans with a six-cylinder engine .

At the end of 1936, the production of the Le Mans models was stopped. It wasn't until 1939 that the 9 Roadster appeared as a successor.
