Mark P. McCahill

Mark P. McCahill (born February 7, 1956 ) is an American computer scientist. He has been involved in the development and popularization of a number of Internet technologies since the late 1980s .

Mark McCahill received a BA in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1979 and later became an Apple II and CDC cyber programmer at that university's Computer Center.

He is considered one of the most important developers of the Gopher , URLs and POP mail .
