Markku Laakso (* 1978 in Lappeenranta , Finland ) is a Finnish conductor .

He studied with Leonid Kortschmar at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg and with Leif Segerstam at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki .

He has worked with many orchestras in Russia, Poland, Austria, Spain and Finland.
