Marlon Lipke (born February 13, 1984 in Lagos , Portugal ) is a German wave rider .

Career

Lipke was born and raised in the Algarve . In 2004 he won the European Pro-Junior title and in the same year reached third place at the WSL World Juniors, where he was able to prevail in the quarter-finals against the reigning junior world champion Adriano Souza. In the Australian newspaper Sydney Times, Lipke was known as "The Hulk". So far he is the only German and one of only a few Europeans who have qualified for the WSL World Tour . Lipke currently lives in Portugal.
