Marquard Schwegler

Marquard Schwegler or Marquard Schwägler (* before 1705 in Kirchdorf ; † after 1740) was a German carver of sacred art in Central Swabia .

Life

The exact dates of life of Marquard Schwegler are not known. It is proven that he was an apprentice to Martin Beichel in Türkheim in 1705 . On November 24, 1705, he married Anna Maria Demlin, who lived there in Kirchheim in Swabia , and from then on lived in Derndorf near Kirchheim. Between 1707 and 1735 the marriage produced 17 children. After 1740 his track is lost as he apparently moved from Kirchheim.
