March of the Bundeswehr
The March of the Bundeswehr has been the official march of the Bundeswehr since October 2005 . For the 50th anniversary of the Bundeswehr, which was founded in 1955, the march was completely re-composed by Christoph Reichelt (* 1934). The composition was suggested by the then General Inspector of the Bundeswehr , General Wolfgang Schneiderhan . Schneiderhan also selected the winning title after Colonel Michael Schramm , head of the military music service , made a pre-selection with a jury from 27 submitted competition entries.
