Marte Skaanes (born September 10, 1996 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Skaanes, who starts for Strindheim Il, ran her first races in the Scandinavian Cup in Lillehammer in December 2016 , where she finished 51st in the sprint and 48th place in the 5 km freestyle and 15 km mass start race. In the 2018/19 season she reached 17th place in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup with six places in the points. She made her debut in the World Cup in December 2018 in Beitostølen , which she finished in 57th place over 15 km freestyle. At her second start in the World Cup in March 2019 in Oslo , she scored her first World Cup points with 20th place in the 30 km mass start race.
