Martin Brady

Martin Brady (born May 7, 1947 in Virginia , County Cavan ) is an Irish politician of the Fianna Fáil and since 2007 Senator in the Seanad Éireann .

Brady attended Franciscan Brothers College in Clara , County Offaly . Prior to his political career, he was an Executive Officer at Telecom Éireann .

In 1997 Brady was first elected to the 27th Dáil Éireann for Fianna Fáil in the Dublin North-East constituency. In 2002 he was re-elected. In 2007 he could not repeat this success and now retired from the 29th Dáil. Instead, he was nominated Senator in the 23rd Seanad Éireann by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern .

Brady is married and has three daughters.
