Martin Macko
Martin Macko (born June 17, 1920 , † 1977 ) was a Czechoslovak football referee . The game master, who comes from the Slovak part of the country, gained national fame when he whistled the final group game between Paraguay and Yugoslavia in Group 2 at the 1958 World Cup . In the following years he was particularly successful in the European Cup on the international stage.
