Martin Weber (soccer player)

Martin Weber (born October 24, 1957 in Bargen ) is a former Swiss football player. He played for the Bern club BSC Young Boys and the Swiss national football team and was the Young Boys coach from May to July 1999. His position was that of defense attorney. With 499 competitive games he is the player with the most appearances for BSC Young Boys.

In the 1978/1979 season, Martin Weber first played for FC Biel-Bienne , then from 1979 to 1995 he played for BSC Young Boys. In 1986 he won the Swiss championship with his club and in 1987 the Swiss Cup .

He played a total of 32 internationals, including 28 for the senior national team and one for the U-21 national team .

From 2009 to 2011 he was coach of the 1st league club SC Düdingen.
