Martina Behr
Martina Behr (* 1977 ) is a German translation scholar .
Life
She studied in Germersheim , Geneva and Rome (certified interpreter and certified translator). After completing her doctorate in Mainz in 2012, she was a freelance conference interpreter from 2004 to 2012 and a research assistant at the University of Mainz from 2012 to 2018 . From 2006 to 2019 she taught as a teacher for special tasks at Saarland University . After completing her habilitation , she has been teaching translation studies with a focus on interpreting studies in Innsbruck since 2019.
Her main research interests are quality and evaluation of interpreting services, cognitive processes of interpreting, development of interpreting science, system-dynamic modeling of interpreting, suitability for conference interpreting and theory-based didactics.
