Martina Fehlner

Martina Fehlner (born June 26, 1960 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2013 .

Career

Fehlner attended the Maria Ward School in Aschaffenburg up to secondary school leaving certificate in 1977 and then completed a three-year training course as a retail saleswoman in her parents' company. After graduating from high school, which she passed in 1982 at a technical college, she studied social pedagogy at the FH Würzburg . In 1987 she completed her studies with a degree in social education. From 1988 she volunteered at the Funkhaus Aschaffenburg , where she worked as a presenter, editor and department head from 1990 to 2013. In addition, she worked as a freelancer for daily newspapers, primarily for travel reports.

Fehlner joined the SPD in 2000. She has been chairwoman of the SPD sub-district of Aschaffenburg and deputy chairwoman of the SPD district of Lower Franconia since 2015.

Fehlner has been a city councilor in Aschaffenburg since 2002. In the 2013 state elections , she entered the Bavarian state parliament via the list in the Lower Franconia constituency . In the 17th electoral term, she was a member of the state parliament's committee for municipal issues, internal security and sport, the committee for the environment and consumer protection and the parliamentary control body, as well as tourism and media policy spokeswoman for the SPD state parliamentary group. In the 18th electoral term she is a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry as well as a member of the Media Council and the Advisory Board at Bayerische Staatsforsten.
