Marvin Bower
Marvin Bower (born August 1, 1903 ; † January 22, 2003 ) came to McKinsey management consultancy in 1933 and was Managing Director there from 1950 to 1967.
The business lawyer (studied at Boston University and Harvard Law School) soon took on a management role in the New York office. After the death of James Oscar McKinsey , he developed a corporate mission statement that is said to be still valid today.
He got his management ideas in the book “ The will to Manage. The art of leading ”bundled.
