Mary Flanagan

Mary Flanagan (* 1969 ) is an American artist, author, and designer. She holds the Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professorship in Digital Humanities from Dartmouth College and heads the Tiltfactor Lab , which researches video games. She studied at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, the University of Iowa and received her PhD from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design , UK.

Flanagan deals with design issues, cyber feminism and the role of women in internet culture . Her works of art have been exhibited at the Laboral Art Center, The Whitney Museum of American Art, SIGGRAPH, Beall Center, Postmasters, Steirischer Herbst, Ars Electronica, Artist's Space, the Telfair Museum, The Guggenheim (New York), The Incheon Digital Arts Festival displayed.
