Mesh gauge

The mesh gauge is a device with two tongues for measuring the meshes of a fishing net in the fishing that automatically on the stitches a longitudinal stress from 5 to 180 Newton exerted (N) with a precision of 1 N. It is used by inspection officers during fishery inspections to determine the mesh size and to measure the thread thickness of fishing nets.

The mesh gauge as a technical measure helps to conserve fishery resources by protecting juvenile marine animals.
