The Machinery Ordinance (9 ProdSV), in the long title Ninth Ordinance to the Product Safety Act , is in Germany , the European Directive 2006/42 / EC (Machinery Directive) into national law.

It regulates the placing on the market of new machines. The prerequisite for placing on the market is that the manufacturer provides the machine with the CE mark and issues a declaration of conformity. The ordinance was last amended by Article 1 of the “Ordinance amending ordinances according to Section 3 of the Equipment and Product Safety Act” of June 18, 2008 (Federal Law Gazette I No. 25 of June 25, 2008 p. 1060).

This regulation is based on § 3 of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
