Massacra were a death metal band from Franconville , France . In addition to Loudblast , they were the first French death metal band and also the only ones that could attract international attention in the 1990s.
history
Founded Massacra 1987 by Fred Duval, Pascal Jorgensen, Bjorn Crugger and Jean Marc Trisani. After the release of three demo recordings , the band received a recording contract with the German music label Shark Records in 1990. In 1991 the then drummer Chris Palengat got out and was replaced by Matthias Limmer. Limmer only lasted until 1994 before he was replaced by Björn Crugger. 1997 after the singer Fred Duval († June 6, 1997) died of skin cancer, the band broke up.
