Massimo Rotundo

Massimo Rotundo (born April 11, 1955 in Rome , Italy ) is an Italian comic artist .

life and work

After attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Rotundo made his debut in 1978 with publications in the magazines Lanciostory and Skorpio . He then drew the comics Ultimo viaggio a Delos , Il pescatore and Il detective senza nome , on which he worked with the authors Ricardo Barreiro and Luigi Mignacco, respectively. Starting with the Ex-Libris Eroticis series for Playmen magazine , he also turned to erotic content. The series Guerra Calda and Rudy X were also created for Playmen ; the latter in collaboration with Franco Saudelli and Rodolfo Torti . At the beginning of the 1990s, Rotundo created the fictional biography of Pier Paolo Pasolini together with the Belgian comic author Jean Dufaux .

Rotundo was awarded the Yellow Kid at the 1990 Lucca Comics Festival. In German, he has released two albums from the series Die Herren der Stille and albums from the series Ex-Libris Eroticis .
