Mast and sail hand

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mast hand is the hand that grips closer to the mast on the boom or directly grips the mast when windsurfing . The hand distant from the mast is the sail hand .

Depending on the direction of travel (see port and starboard bow ) and sail position (e.g. clew ahead), the mast and sail hand change.
