Master of Oral Medicine in Implantology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Master of Oral Medicine in Implantology (MOM) is the first academic degree accredited according to the international Bologna criteria and awarded in Germany for a dentist who has completed a postgraduate additional course in the field of dental implantology and has written a scientific master's thesis. The pioneer in 2004 was the International Medical College of the University of Münster , which offers this subject-specific, additional oral surgery course for licensed and appropriately qualified dentists.

The study to become a master implantologist in Münster, which is now possible in a modified form of the Master of Science (M.Sc.) at another university in Germany or the Master of Dental Science for Oral Implantology (MDSc) in Austria, was the first of the Science Council Postgraduate Master’s degree in implantology recognized by the Federal Republic of Germany.

There is now a Master of Science in Oral Implantology from the Steinbeis University in Berlin, the Master of Science Implantology from the Danube University Krems in Austria and the Master of Dental Science in oral implantology from the University of Vienna.
