Matratzen Concord is a specialist mattress discounter in Germany and belongs to the Asian financial investor Magical Honor Limited. 1,925 people are employed.
The company has over 1,000 branches in Germany. Until 2005 the branches ran under the name Beter Bed and were reopened after the acquisition of the Cologne company "Matratzen Concord", which at that time had 240 shops. Companies of the same name are also subgroups of Beter Bed. In December 2018, the company announced the closure of 176 branches by the end of 2018.
The managing director Frans Geelen resigned from his position as CEO of Beter Bed on March 1, 2010, his successor was Ton Anbeek, who in turn moved to the Accell Group in 2017. His successor was the former CFO Bart BF Koops, who left BeterBed Holding on 1.8.18. Dario Marotta has been working as GF in Cologne since January 8th, 2018.
MATRATZEN CONCORD buys large quantities from brand manufacturers, sales in 2017 € 243 million. The company has its mattresses checked by the LGA and the ECO Institute .
