Matthias Grünert (Romanist)

Matthias Grünert (* 1966 ) is a Swiss Romance philologist . From 1986 to 1994 he studied Romance and Russian Studies at the University of Bern . Grünert wrote his dissertation on the modus syntax in Surselvian , worked on various research projects at the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Romance Department at the University of Zurich, and is a member of the Philological Commission of the Dicziunari Rumantsch Grischun . Since 2014 he has been the successor of Georges Darms Professor of Romansh in the Department of Multilingualism Research and Foreign Language Didactics at the University of Friborg (Switzerland).
