Matthias Haunholder (born December 28, 1979 in Walchsee , Austria ) is an Austrian skier who drives for the Walchsee winter sports club.

Haunholder won the Freeride World Qualifier Tour in 2008 . In 2009 he was the first German-speaking skier to win the Freeride World Tour Stop in Tignes .

biography

Haunholder completed his training as a state-certified ski instructor and ski guide and completed his sports studies at the University of Innsbruck in 2007 . Then he turned to competitions in the freeride discipline . In addition to his successes at the Freeride World Tour and 3rd place at the Fieberbrunn Event 2011, Haunholder has been an athlete and producer in freeride, adventure and extreme sports films since 2008 . For spectacular ski film recordings, Matthias Haunholder travels to remote and fascinating mountains in order to ski down them.
