Maud Sauer

Maud Sauer (born October 31, 1952 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch improvisation musician ( oboe , coble) and composer .

Live and act

Sauer, who first learned the recorder as a child , studied oboe at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag in the 1970s . As a soloist she appeared in the groups of Maarten Altena and Guus Janssen ; she founded her own quintet and took part in the first Canaille festivals in Zurich and Frankfurt am Main. As a composer she wrote film scores for Frank Diamond and the groups De Ereprijs and Clazz Ensemble . The latter group also performed their Donkerblauw work in Rokby at the North Sea Jazz Festival . As a musician she plays in the groups Retour Warffum and Cobla La Principal d'Amsterdam (since 1988), for which she also composed ( El Drac de l'Estany ). She is also active on the advisory boards of several foundations and has advised the Amsterdam Art Council.
