The flow of the Ragöse, built as a mouth profile, through the Ragöser Damm

A mouth profile is a specially shaped pipe cross-section that simulates the shape of a fish's mouth. Channel profiles, for which egg , circular and rectangular profiles are common in addition to mouth profiles, are described in DIN 4263. The mouth profile combines the property of a low overall height with a large flow rate, but has hydraulic disadvantages.
