Max Auer (soccer player)

Max Auer is a former German soccer player who was active for FC Bayern Munich .

Career

Auer was initially only used as a midfielder in the 1954/55 season for FC Bayern Munich in a friendly match.

In the 1956/57 season he played two point games in the Oberliga Süd , the highest German division at the time, to which FC Bayern Munich had returned after a year in second division . He made his debut on March 17, 1957 (22nd matchday) in the 8-1 defeat in the away game against SpVgg Fürth . His last league game, which he also lost with the team, he played a week later in the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse in the 1-0 defeat against VfR Mannheim . He was also used on March 9, 1957 in the competition for the South German Cup in a 3-1 second round win over TSV 1861 Straubing , as well as in two friendly games in which he scored a goal.

In the 1957/58 season he was without a point game, but was used on April 19, 1958 in the 3-0 victory at FC Wacker Munich in the first round of the South German Cup, as well as in another friendly game.
