Max Thorwesten

Max Thorwesten (born April 13, 1908 , † October 29, 1994 in Krems an der Donau ) was an Austrian politician and mayor of Krems an der Donau in Lower Austria .

Life

Thorwesten completed his law studies with a doctorate and was placed in the service of the then still independent town of Stein an der Donau in 1932 . After the merger of Stein and Krems, in which Thorwesten played an important role, he was the full-time mayor of the city of Krems between 1938 and 1943 and magistrate director from 1959 to 1968. He was also deputy mayor between 1967 and 1969 and mayor of Krems between 1969 and 1976.
