Stephan Dupuis
Stephan Dupuis is a makeup artist and special effects artist .
Life
Dupuis began his career on the film staff in 1979 as an assistant make-up artist while filming Alvin Rakoff's disaster film City in Flames . Among other things, he specialized in prostheses , such as in the science fiction film RoboCop or in David Cronenberg's horror film Die Fliege . In 1987 he and Chris Walas won the Oscar for The Fly in the category of best make-up and best hairstyles . Dupuis was also nominated in the category Best Mask for The Fly at the BAFTA Film Awards that took place the following year , but The Name of the Rose prevailed here. Dupuis also received the Saturn Award in 1988 for RoboCop .
In addition to his film engagements, Dupuis also worked for American television, including the television series Tales from the Crypt , Trauma , Looking and Dead Girls Don't Lie . For his work on American television, Dupuis was nominated four times for a Primetime Emmy between 1993 and 2014 , but could not win any of these awards.
