Oscar / Best Makeup and Best Hairstyles

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With the Oscar for best makeup are artist honored a film. The prize has been awarded in this category since 1982 after numerous complaints had been received by the Academy after the Academy Awards in 1981 that the elaborate make-up of the elephant man was not recognized by any award. In 2012 the category was expanded to include the best hairstyles. From the 2013 Oscars, hair stylists will be nominated and awarded for the first time in this category.
