Carl Fullerton

Carl Fullerton (born before 1955 ) is an American makeup artist .

Life

Fullerton worked on Broadway from 1975 to 1976 and was responsible for the makeup of Frank Langella in the Seascape production. From 1976 he worked in Hollywood , where he initially mainly worked on horror films . He received a Saturn Award nomination in 1984 for his performance on the vampire horror film Desire, starring Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie . Two years later he was nominated for an Oscar for the first time , for the transformation of the 53-year-old American Joel Gray into the aged Korean martial arts master Chiun in Remo - unarmed and dangerous . Also in 1986 he founded his own makeup company, Makeup Imagineering Inc.

In 1992 he received his first award with the Saturn Award for The Silence of the Lambs . His second Oscar nomination followed two years later, but Philadelphia also received nothing. Since the film state of emergency Fullerton worked until 2013, so far 16 films scheduled as a personal makeup artist of Denzel Washington .
