Jenny Shircore

Jenny Shircore (born in India ) is a makeup artist.

Shircore was born in India to an Armenian and a Frenchwoman and moved to the UK when she was ten.

She took the Beauty Culture course at the London College of Fashion for two years and then a Makeup Artist training course at the BBC . She then worked for the BBC for 16 years from the 1970s, including on productions such as the miniseries Pennies from Heaven and the television series Doctor Who . Her first self-employed work was in the 1985 film Dreamchild . She has been involved in more than 65 film and television productions so far.

Awards (selection)

In 1999 she won the Oscar for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles for her work in Elizabeth . In 1999 and 2010 she received a British Academy Film Award in the Best Mask category.
