Robert Laden

Robert "Bob" Laden (born before 1968) is a makeup artist and special effects artist .

Life

Laden began his career on the film staff in 1968 with television and made his film debut in the comedy Husbands by John Cassavetes, with Peter Falk in one of the leading roles. He worked two more times on films with Peter Falk, for both of which he received an Oscar nomination in the category of best make-up and best hairstyles . In 1988 he was nominated for John G. Avildsen's crime comedy Happy New Year , but it won William Dears comedy Bigfoot and the Hendersons that year . In 1996 , he received his second Oscar nomination for Family Ties, this time with Greg Cannom and Colleen Callaghan , but they were defeated by Mel Gibson's historical drama Braveheart . Laden has worked under renowned directors such as Steven Spielberg , Richard Attenborough , Martin Brest , Alan Parker , Brian De Palma , John Huston and Sidney Lumet .

In addition to his film engagements, Laden occasionally worked for television, including the television series Chaos City and several television films.
