F / X 2 - The Deadly Illusion ( F / X2 ) is an American thriller by Richard Franklin from the year 1991 . It is a sequel to the thriller F / X - Deadly Tricks from 1986.
action
Roland Tyler's girlfriend's ex-husband is a cop. He asks Tyler if he could help arrest a serial killer. When the policeman is killed under strange circumstances, Tyler suspects the police force to be behind the murder. His friend Leo McCarthy helps him solve the mystery of gold coins stolen from the Vatican decades ago.
The criminals are overwhelmed by Tyler, who previously infiltrated their property. The gold pieces will be returned to the Catholic Church by Tyler and McCarthy.
Reviews
Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times on May 10, 1991 that the film was neither good nor bad. He criticized the act.
The lexicon of international films praised " some surprising trick effects " and criticized the " clichéd plot ".
