Colleen Callaghan

Colleen Callaghan (born before 1963) is an American hairdresser who has been nominated twice for an Oscar .

Life

Callaghan has worked as a hairdresser in the entertainment industry for four decades. She has been interested in music and theater since childhood and performed regularly as a singer and actress. She later began to do the hair of fellow actors and other singers. She grew up in Texas but moved to New York City, where she worked on Broadway and trained as a cosmetologist . From 1961 she began working as a hairdresser for various television productions such as The Ed Sullivan Show and Hallmark Hall of Fame . More recently she has worked on Empire Falls . Since the 1960s she has been involved in more than 120 film and television productions.

At the 1996 Academy Awards she was nominated for her work in the film Familien-Gang ( Roommates ) in the category Best Make-Up and in 2002 again in the same category for A Beautiful Mind . 2009 she was at the British Academy Film Awards , the award in the category Best mask for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button awarded.
