Where gangsters around the corner pop (original title: The Gang That Could not Shoot Straight ) is an American Mafia - comedy from the year 1971 . It is a film adaptation of the 1969 novel The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight by Jimmy Breslin , which is based on the life of the gangster Joseph "Joey" Gallo .

"Big Daddy" Baccala is one of New York's big Mafia bosses and gets into special trouble with Kid Sally and his boys in South Brooklyn. Kid Sally becomes rebellious and wants to cash in more with his gang. Kid sends his men into battle. When it turns out that Kids Killer are too stupid to shoot, he puts his brother-in-law Mario on Big Daddy.
