Leigh Taylor-Young (born January 25, 1945 in Washington, DC , USA ; as Leigh Young ) is an American actress .

Film career

Before the artist came to film, she attended Northwestern University and studied classical ballet. Before she made her film debut in 1968 with Let me kiss your butterfly , she played the role of Rachel Welles in the US series Peyton Place from 1966 to 1967 . Numerous television appearances followed in series such as Fantasy Island , Love Boat , Hart but cordially , Perry Mason , Hotel , Harry's Nest , Murder is Her Hobby , Sunset Beach , Pretender , Beverly Hills, 90210 . In 1973 she starred in the film Year 2022 ... Who Want to Survive with Charlton Heston, Edward G. Robinson, Chuck Connors and Joseph Cotten. From 1987 to 1989 she played the Kimberly Cryder in Dallas . She won an Emmy in 1994 for her role as Rachel Harris in Picket Fences . From 2004 to 2007 she was seen in Passions as Katherine Barrett Crane.

Life

Leigh Taylor-Young was married to producer Guy McElwaine and from 1967 to 1973 to actor Ryan O'Neal . Their son Patrick O'Neal was temporarily married to actress Rebecca De Mornay . She has two granddaughters. Her siblings are the actress Dey Young and the director Lance Young .
