Robert Chartoff

Robert Chartoff (born August 26, 1933 in New York City , † June 10, 2015 in Santa Monica ) was an American film producer .

Life

Robert Chartoff made his producer debut in 1967 with the crime film Point Blank . The following year the gangster film Bullen - How long do you want to live? , which meant the first collaboration with his colleague Irwin Winkler . Together they produced the entire Rocky film series, among other things .

Together with his long-time partner Winkler, he was awarded an Oscar in 1977 for Rocky .

Chartoff was married to the British actress Vanessa Howard (1948-2010) for the first time in 1970 and was married to Jenny Weyman-Cockle in 1992 for the second time. He had five children.
