Lucy Sibbick in the (20th century) is a British makeup artist .

Life

Lucy Sibbick received her education from 2002 to 2005 at John Moores University in Liverpool with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree , at the same time she attended theatrical and media make-up courses in Manchester and in 2005 the Wirral Metropolitan College in Birkenhead , in the port city of North West of England. In 2007 she moved to California and rounded off her makeup artist experience at the Joe Blasco Makeup School in Los Angeles .

Sibbick began her career on the film staff a year earlier in 2006 as a trainee for the British television film Casualty 1906 . Major feature film productions such as The Golden Compass and Deadly Promises followed in the following year . In the 2010s she specialized in working with prostheses . She has worked under such renowned directors as Ridley Scott , Oliver Parker , Ron Howard and David Cronenberg . In 2018 , she won the Oscar for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles for Joe Wright's historical drama The Darkest Hour, along with Kazuhiro Tsuji and David Malinowski .

In addition to her film engagements, Sibbick has also worked for television, including the series Come Fly with Me , Game of Thrones and Fortitude .

Lucy Sibbick lives in Hertfordshire , England.
