Lance Anderson

Lance Anderson is a makeup artist and special effects artist .

Life

Anderson grew up in Venice , Los Angeles , where he attended Venice High. After two years in the United States Navy , he studied at Santa Monica Junior College. First he worked as an electrician, then he moved to Malibu and began training as a make-up artist. He was eventually replaced by Stan Winston hired and began his career in film crew in 1981 as a special effects artist in science fiction - Romance heart squeak by Allan Arkush . Anderson eventually founded his own studio, Make-up Designs, Inc. In 2005, he took his son David LeRoy Anderson as a partner, whereupon the company name was changed to AFX Studio. Together with his son he was in 2006 , he worked for Ron Howard's boxing film Cinderella Man for the Oscar in the category Best Makeup and Best hairstyles nominated, but won this year's adventure film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe . Anderson has worked under renowned directors such as Steven Spielberg , Tim Burton , Michael Apted , Robert Zemeckis and the horror film specialists John Carpenter and Wes Craven .

Anderson is married and has one other child besides David. He is the father-in-law of actress Heather Langenkamp .
