Heather Langenkamp (born July 17, 1964 in Tulsa , Oklahoma ) is an American actress and director .

Career

Heather Langenkamp was discovered by Wes Craven in her debut film Nickel Mountain and became famous for her 1984 film Nightmare . Other roles in the horror genre followed, but she also had appearances in TV series such as Hotel and Our loud home and a leading role in its offshoot Just the Ten of Us . In 1994 she took on the role of Nancy Kerrigan in a television film about an assassination attempt on the figure skater. Later she worked behind the camera in film productions, once as a director and more often in production or make-up, including films like Star Trek Into Darkness .

Heather Langenkamp is married for the second time, her second husband is David LeRoy Anderson , who was awarded two Oscars as a makeup artist . They have two children together. Her father-in-law is also Oscar-nominated makeup artist Lance Anderson .
