Bari Dreiband-Burman is a makeup artist and special effects artist .

Life

Three-Cushion Burman began her career on film staff in 1982 in the crime drama Grenzpatrouille directed by Tony Richardson . She worked as a makeup artist on The Goonies , Die Hard 2 , The Godfather III , and as a special effects artist on The Quiet - Can you keep a secret? and kick mom off the train! . In the course of her career she has worked under such renowned directors as Richard Donner , Francis Ford Coppola , Kenneth Branagh and Brian De Palma . In 1989 , three-volume Burman was nominated for Richard Donner's comedy The Spirits I Called ... together with Thomas R. Burman for an Oscar in the category of Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles , but that year the award went to Tim Burton's horror comedy Beetlejuice .

In addition to her film engagements, Dreiband-Burman has also worked for television, including the series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones , Nip / Tuck - Beauty Has Its Price , Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy . For her work in television she was nominated a total of 27 times for the Primetime Emmy between 1987 and 2011 , five times she won the award.
