Elka Wardega

Elka Wardega (* 1975 or 1976 ) is an Australian makeup artist and Oscar winner .

Career

Wardega's mentor was Bob McCarron . She worked behind the scenes in Oscar-winning and nominated films such as The Matrix , Moulin Rouge , The Chronicles of Narnia and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey With, Without Receiving a Nomination. For her work on Mad Max: Fury Road , she and Lesley Vanderwalt and Damian Martin received an Oscar for the best make-up and best hairstyles at the 2016 Academy Awards .

She is married and has lived in Woodford, Queensland since moving from Sydney .
