Howard Berger

Howard Berger (born December 20, 1964 in Burbank , California ) is an American makeup artist who has already received an Oscar for his work and has been nominated for another. He has also received an Emmy , a BAFTA Award and two Saturn Awards .

Life

Berger began working for Tom Savini , then worked for Kevin Yagher and founded the KNB Effects Group with Robert Kurtzman and Greg Nicotero in 1988 .

In addition to his work as a make-up artist, Berger also starred in some films as an extra himself.

At the Saturn Awards 1999 he received his first award for his mask work in John Carpenter's Vampire . Berger was nominated five more times at the Saturn Awards.

Berger received his first Oscar nomination at the 2006 Academy Awards for his work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The King of Narnia . He won the prize in the Best Make-Up category. For this film, Berger received his second Saturn Award and a BAFTA Award.

He managed the make-up for the television series The Walking Dead , for which he was awarded an Emmy in 2010. Berger was nominated a second time for an Oscar in the same category for the film Hitchcock .
