Robert Kurtzman (born November 25, 1964 in Crestline , Ohio ) is an American special effects artist and co-founder of the special FX company KNB EFX Group , along with Howard Berger and Gregory Nicotero . The first letters of the three make up the abbreviation "KNB". He is also active as a director and producer in the film business.

Kurtzman also came up with the idea for the film From Dusk Till Dawn . He also directed Wes Craven's Wishmaster from 1997. He made his director's debut with The Demolitionist from 1995. In April 2012 he opened his Kurtzman Institute of Art to interested students.
