John E. Jackson

John E. Jackson is a makeup artist and special effects artist .

Life

Jackson began his film staff career in 1991 with Eric Red's horror film Body Parts . After several television productions, he worked in 1993 without naming uncredited in Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List with, followed by another big Hollywood productions such as Natural Born Killers , Outbreak - Silent killers and American History X . In 2003 he was awarded the Oscar in the category of best make-up and best hairstyles for Julie Taymors biopic Frida together with Beatrice De Alba . He also received the award in the Best Mask category at the BAFTA Film Awards held in the same year .

In addition to his engagements in film, Jackson has also worked for television, including the television series Hawthorne , Eastbound & Down and Shameless, and Little Britain USA . For his work in television, he was nominated seven times for the Primetime Emmy between 1993 and 2009 , which he won twice.
