Walter Kindler

Walter Kindler (born May 25, 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman .

Career

Kindler attended the Higher Graphic Education and Research Institute (HGBLuVA) in Vienna and was trained as a camera assistant at ORF. After a two-year stay as a photographer and cameraman in the USA , he worked as a freelance cameraman in Austria from 1965. In 1969 he founded the film production company Moviegroup with the set designer Fritz Gabriel Bauer , from which the camera company Moviecam emerged . From 1968 to the present, Walter Kindler worked as a cameraman in more than 60 TV and cinema productions, including the movie Kottan - The world belongs to the capable of Kottan-Reihe, Kaisermühlenblues , SOKO Kitzbühel and Wir sind Kaiser , but also for the television series Tatort and Der Bulle von Tölz .

Kindler is a board member of the Association of Austrian Cinematographers and a member of the German Cinematography Association (BVK)

Walter Kindler worked as a visiting professor at the Vienna Film Academy from 1994 . 1996 was appointed full professor.

Private life

Kindler is married to the film editor Ingrid Koller .
